I will be there. Last night we had about 9,300 fans and Saturday should be a full house. It only takes a 2 game win streak to ramp up fan support. Cal may not be that artistic but they sure are exciting. What team has won two straight with three point shots by a guy who rarely scores and one who can't shoot a free throw. What is next? Winning with an Okoroh hook shot? Can we upset UCLA? They are a 3 pt favorite. We need : 45+ FG %, 35+ three pt %, 55 pts from the big four (Wallace, Bird, Mathews, & Kravish) 10 TOs max. and Kravish on the floor and not on the bench. May see a lot of Okoroh to contain Parker and keep Kravish out of foul trouble.
In the last 3 games, we are averaging 82 pts per game. Bird is averaging about 11 pts, 6 RBs and 3 AS per game. He is the difference between winning and losing. Not going off but making the team better.
The difference between 3rd and 9th place in the Pac 12 is 2 games. After AZ and UT it is wide open. Maybe only 3 teams make the NCAA tournament. A 4th, if a surprise team wins the Pac 12 tournament. Maybe the committee will stretch to get a fourth team in, probably as a play-in. The NIT will be loaded with Pac 12 teams, hopefully including Cal.
