The Bears held on after allowing 4 runs in the ninth inning to take down No. 8 seed Wake Forest in Durham on Wednesday to secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the ACC Baseball Championship. Right fielder Jacob French went 4 for 6 at the plate to help pace Cal in its 14-12 win over the Demon Deacons setting up a meeting with top-seeded Georgia Tech on Thursday at noon (PT).
