The Cal women's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament as a No. 8 seed in Spokane Regional 4. The Bears will square off with ninth-seeded Mississippi State on Saturday at Galen Center in Los Angeles. A win over the Bulldogs would likely match up Cal with No. 1 seed USC in the second round.
Mississippi State finished the season 21-11 and lost in the second round of the SEC Tournament to rival Ole Miss after finishing 10th in the league during the regular season.
