Hey guys, I figured I would also share with you my initial impressions of 4-star 2016 Cal basketball prospect Javin Montgomery-DeLaurier, a 6'8", 205 pound power forward from Charlottesville, Virginia. He currently plays for St. Anne's Belfield High School and Team Loaded VA for AAU.
Notes: Attacks the rim well. Aggressive. Handles the ball well in the open floor. Can catch lobs and finish with the dunk. Seems to enjoy running the floor to catch the lob. Active on the glass and finishes inside. Good on the offensive boards. Nice mid-range shot. Can hit the three. Active shot blocker. Has length to bother shooters. Really fluid athlete: Moves really well well; can get up with ease. Right handed. Needs to be able to finish with his left hand sometimes. Good in the fast break and catching passes in transition. Good hands. Really nice looking shot. Very fluid shot mechanics. Nice touch around the rim.
