Cal is back in action as the Bears continue their difficult stretch facing another ranked team today. The Bears will square off against Utah for the first time since 2019 as Fernando Mendoza makes his second start at quarterback hoping to replicate some of the success the offense had last week. The defense, meanwhile, will look to regain some momentum after struggling to stop Oregon State's offense a week ago. It will have to do so without starting middle linebacker Jackson Sirmon who is out for today's game.
