As we did last year, we will use this space to keep track of all the transfer news for the Bears this winter. I am expecting Cal to be plenty active in the coming weeks, so there will be plenty of news to watch. Getting serious

The minutiae of coaching and player discussions on this board is so eye-waveringly boring. Instead of worrying about replacing Wilcox or Knowlton, or even spending time on the "GM" issue, start thinking about this discussion. Who might give Cal $500M to take over Cal sports, or the Football program. I'm dead certain the cash-strapped university led by Chancellor Lyons, would be all about it.

Cal and UCLA aren't THAT far apart in terms of valuation at the moment:

Nohl Williams earns consensus All-American status

There's been a lot going on for Cal the last few days but didn't want this to get overlooked. Nohl Williams was selected as a Walter Camp First Team All-American last night. It's a prestigious group and the Cal cornerback made it alongside Colorado's Travis Hunter, who won the Walter Camp Player of the Year award last night as well, plus Notre Dame's Xavier Watts and Ohio State's Caleb Downs.

Fond memories and mostly PTSD of the coaching regimes at Cal

I was in a bad place last night watching the game, so I had to try and remember some better times in the past that solidified me as Bear fan for life. As I strolled down memory lane, I unfortunately had to recall some dark eras as well (I count the last 5 years of JW's tenure as a dark time).

Snyder: 29-24-4 and 2/2 bowl wins, with the Citrus Bowl as my all time favorite bowl win.

KG: 20-26, 1/1 bowl win.

Mariucci: 6-6, 0/1 bowl.

Holmoe: 16-39, no bowls.

JT: 82-57, 5/8 bowl wins, with 7 bowls in a row!

Dykes: 19-30, 1/1 bowl win.

Wilcox: 42-50, 1/4 bowl win

The LA Bowl held its pre-game press conference Tuesday with Rob Gronkowski in attendance to welcome Justin Wilcox and Del Alexander for the game that will take place tomorrow at SoFi Stadium. Gronk took a few questions and both coaches answered questions from reporters about tomorrow's game. You can see both media sessions in the videos above.

Cal Women BB Team Guts Furd at Hass

WBB tonight found Cal 83 Furd 63, even though Cal was a 1.5 underdog at home. Charnin is rocking with a prior win at Haas over then nationally ranked Alabama. Cal women now are a solid 10-1 and look like they will make some noise in the ACC. Perhaps, I need courtside seats for that team to make me happier at Haas this season.

WATCH: Justin Wilcox and Nohl Williams talk after Sunday's LA Bowl practice

Cal hosted an open practice on Sunday at El Camino College ahead of this week's LA Bowl. After practice, Justin Wilcox and Nohl Williams spoke with myself and the LA Times about the quarterback situation, the Bears' coaching staff this week and more. Watch the exclusive video interviews below.
