Tomorrow marks the spring game, figured I'd put in a bit of information here:
Starting around 2 on the Pac-12 Network, if any of you are going to Tightwad Hill, be careful getting up. It just rained, and footing getting up to the main viewing area is shaky in dry conditions, so wear shoes or boots with good traction.
Offense is going all white, defense is going all blue, QBs are all yellow (I've been told Rowell may go live, as he did in another scrimmage, so they could get some practice hitting a QB)
Starting at 2 PM on the Pac-12 Network, they have Yogi Roth, Ted Robinson and Mike Pawlawski on the call. I'll be there in person taking notes, keeping stats and all that
Format of the day isn't going to be a straight up spring game as always, lot of situational stuff. Sirmon guessed they're going to try to get in about 60-80 live plays. May end up being more, since they've gone to around 120 the last two scrimmages. Lot of situation stuff, with a focus on some of the areas of the field where they'd go for it on 4th down. They've done a lot of situations recently.
They've also made Saturdays 'Competition Saturdays' for Special Teams competition, which is always fun. Lots of hitting, return stuff and the like. When I talked to Ragle a couple weeks ago, he noted that he thinks they have a return man in Remigio who can break one, and Justin Baker should be back returning stuff as well.
Anyhow, it's a day to be excited for. I certainly am.
