Alright, here's the thread to discuss all things NBA Conference Finals.

Why is it that people cling to this notion that LeBron James being such a great player means the Cavs should be favored to win? We know from history that it takes at least two star players to win championships. LeBron had such a running mate in Kyrie Irving. Kevin Love is good, but he isn't as good as Irving. Of course, Boston arguably has no true superstar, just a lot more really good players than the Cavs have, who in particular, play much better defense than most Cavs players.
I'm going with the team with more better players, the better coach, that plays better defense. Kyle Korver is going to humiliated in this series, and Kevin Love will be neutralized. The Celtics can let LeBron score 50 in every game if he wants as long as they take away his supporting cast, which I think they will do. Celtics in 6.

Wow is this hard. All season I have thought the Rockets superior to the W's, primarily based on the fact they have Clint Capela doing what he does. But after watching Harden not exactly be dominant in the playoffs to date, and knowing how good the W's can be - particularly on defense - when they are focused and healthy, I'm kind of starting to feel the Rockets as sort of Raptor-like. They won't go full Raptor, but a loss in a series is a loss in a series when the #1 seed.
With Draymond Green playing fantastic and keeping his composure in the playoffs (and Houston not having a guy who can get under his skin), Durant, Thompson, a healthy and rested Curry, the W's look fierce. Despite Daryl Morey's best efforts, my gut is telling me picking the Rockets will make me look foolish. W's in 5.
