Cal has scored a major recruiting win on Sunday as four-star outside linebacker Camron Brooks has announced his pledge to the Bears. Brooks had been set to take several official visits in the summer with Cal included among that group, but he's instead shifted course and opted to commit to the Bears now. He's teammates with current offensive line commit Artem Korchagin at Thomas County Central in Georgia, and the Bears are starting to build a nice pipeline into the school.
Clemson, Florida State and Miami are the other schools that Brooks had set official visits with already while Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Michigan, LSU, Florida and Texas A&M are some of the programs on his offer list.
As it stands now, Brooks is the highest-rated commitment for Cal since the 2016 cycle.
