Assuming both Bird and Mathews stay for their senior year, in the 2016-17 season we would have 5 (5!) wing/shooting guards vying for 2 starting positions. ( I'm assuming a traditional starting five of PG, SG, SF, C and PF. 4 players vying for 2 positions may or not be problematic- 5 players vying for 2 starting positions may indicate someone in CM's office is not counting properly. Editor's note: I had to take "bonehead math" in college, but I can certainly count to five! The 5 players in question, in addition to thge players named above, are frayer, Dillard and Jolly. CM is going to have a jolly time figuring out how to keep all these players happy. Couldn't resist!
