Hey guys, I just spoke with 5-star 2017 point guard/shooting guard Troy Brown, Jr.. He told me of his visit to Cal: "It was a very good visit. It’s a beautiful campus. I got to watch the guys practice. I enjoyed it a lot. They got really competitive in practice. I like it." He also mentioned academics as a key part of what will factor into his decision: "Academics has been a huge thing in my family. I’m not choosing a school just for basketball. I need my education, too."
He also mentioned that Arizona, Alabama, UCLA, Stanford, UNLV, Kansas, and Cal are the schools recruiting him the hardest. So, UCLA is still in the mix even with the addition of Jaylen Hands.
The rest I will wait to share until the article, but this is some of the key information that he told me.
