Here is my rundown on Cal's NCAA Tournament chances.
Cal is in great shape for the NCAA Tournament. They once again cracked the Top-25 and finished 3rd overall in the Pac-12 with a 22-9 overall record and a 12-6 record in Pac-12 play. The only question for Cal is what seed they will get in the NCAA Tournament.
If Cal runs the table and wins the Pac-12 tournament, they could potentially get as high as 4 seed in their region. If they lose their first game of the Pac-12 tournament on Thursday in the quarterfinals, they are probably looking at a #6 seed and maybe even a #7 seed.
But, rest assured that Cal is going to the NCAA Tournament. They’ve won 7 of their last 8 games and are looking poised to make a Sweet 16 run and possibly go even further depending on how everything else shakes out in the rest of the tournament.
Cal’s next game is Thursday in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals against either Oregon State or Arizona State at 8:30 PM PST on Fox Sports 1.
