Does it matter where recruits come from as long as they're good? The answer is abso-freaking-lutely. Sonny knows, as I referenced in my other thread, that keeping the top local talent home announces that you have arrived as a program. Here's who we MUST get to announce our arrival in the upcoming class. As usual, there is star talent right on our doorstep.
The superstar:
Najee Harris, RB, Antioch CA. Rated 5* by Rivals and the number 5 player in the country.
Najee is a Bama commit but is still being recruited heavily by UCLA and Cal.
The stars:
Aaron Banks, OT, El Cerrito. 4* tackle rates as the 70th ranked player in the country. Offers from Cal, USC, UCLA, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nebraska, rest of the Pac 12, etc.
Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT, Oakland. 4* tackle rates as the 108th player nationally. Offers from UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Nebraska, ASU, and Cal.
