Cal will be hosting a few key targets on unofficial visits next week:
DB TreyJohn Butler (Etiwanda)-4 star
Butler should be making it up early next week ahead of his set decision date next month (August 14). He has a top 3 of Stanford, Cal and ASU. This likely comes down to whether or not he gains admission to Stanford, a la Quenton Meeks and Frank Buncom last cycle. So there is a bridesmaid vibe to this one. But Cal will likely throw everything including the kitchen sink at him during his visit. And he's a take, numbers be damned.

(VISITING TUESDAY) ATH Lil'Jordan Humphrey (Southlake Carroll, Texas)- 3 star
Though he plays RB for the Dragons, there's nothing "Lil" about him. Humphrey is a 6'5/200 athlete that could play either side of the ball between TE, WR, or DE in college. He's a giant athlete though, just watch his highlights. I initially guessed that Cal would pass on Humphrey since they have two Y's committed (the position I believed him slotted for). I was wrong. He's 100% a take and would be brought in as an Athlete with position TBD. Not a talent you turn away. Cal is in a good place with him so this visit is important. Oh, and he's teammates with DB target Obi Eboh as well.
Highlights
WR Jordan Duncan (Hattiesburg, MS)- 4 star
Duncan is one of the Mississipplets, aka "Mississippi Mafia", being targeted for the remaining WR spots. Quite an offer list, and quite an athlete. He's 6'1/195 and a hell of a player. Lots of work has been done here, and as of now he and his mom should be coming in next week. Yet another important visit. The interest is real. Question is whether the distance will factor in, a la Kiel Pollard, or if some of the more appealing local options will win out.

EDIT: Duncan was unable to make it out. He's working on scheduling his official visit for mi-December and will plan to make a college decision shortly after.
