So sad to hear of the death of David Bowie. He died at age 69 after an 18 month bout with cancer that he kept very private. Don't know why his death seems particularly affecting. People die every day. But he was so innovative, and his lyrics were frequently so hopeful (e.g., "We can be heroes, just for one day..."), that his death at the age of 69 seems FAR too early. RIP, Ziggy.
