I decided to look back into who received offers in the 2018 class since signing day and see how they're all distributed going back to signing day. Cal has put out 62 offers since February 1st, the first of those going out to S Julius Irvin and the most recent going out to WR Dimitri Stanley.

The distribution looks like this:

By Position:

QB: 3
RB: 6
WR: 5
TE: 6
OL: 10
DL: 9
OLB: 9
ILB: 3
CB: 3
S: 4
ATH: 4

Total: 62

High School vs. Juco:

HS: 60
Juco: 2

By State:

California (24) (Nine from Northern California)
Utah (7)
Washington (4)
Colorado (4)
Oregon (3)
Nevada (3)
Arizona (3)
Texas (3)
Florida (3)
Idaho (2)
Kansas (1)
North Carolina (1)
Georgia (1)
Tennessee (1)
Michigan (1)
Hawaii (1)

Thoughts:
Heavy distributions in the trenches on both sides of the ball, along with offers to in-state players and Utah players making up half the offers combined. Much more of a focus on the normal Western recruiting areas, though there's only one offer out to a Hawaiian player in Kana'i Mauga from the past three and a half months. Wilcox and staff are trying to course correct from a staff that recruited the skill positions well to get back missing depth up front.

The focus on Utah, while a mild departure from the past, is understandable considering the staff change, with the two Tuis recruiting there. In fact, East HS DL Paul Maile put Cal as a frontrunner yesterday, and is set to visit when the Opening is in Oakland a week from Saturday, with some other East HS teammates in tow (Angilau among them). Even if they only land one guy from there, building those inroads will help, as there's a ton of talent in Utah now.

Also, all of Cal's 2018 commits (except for Omari Harris, who will remain on if his grades are good enough) were offered in the last three months. Relationships are being built relatively quick on that front.
