Based on the info I gathered yesterday about Jordan Brown and P.J. Washington as well the info I got from Don Coleman and Jemarl Baker, Jr., it sounds like so long as Cuonzo Martin is at the helm, these recruits are still going to seriously consider Cal or remain committed if they've already committed. They appear to remain unaffected by what has happened over the last week. At least, that's what they have been projecting to me, which really does speak to Cuonzo Martin's ability to get the trust of his players.
Now, as far as whether or not Cuonzo Martin stays, that remains to be seen. The longer a contract doesn't get done, the more we have to worry. But, in the meantime, we can assume that so long as Cuonzo Martin remains the head coach at Cal, things on the recruiting front will remain relatively unaffected. His image hasn't taken much of a hit if any, which obviously is great news.
The biggest concern is that the UC President has to sign off on his contract. I have no idea how the UC President feels about Cuonzo Martin, but the fact that the UC President has so much influence over what happens is a little unnerving to me.
