Got off the phone with him a little while ago, and we talked about his offer and his general recruitment. I'll have an article about him up for tomorrow afternoon. As a general impression, he's a smart kid, doesn't have a top school yet but Cal will be in the mix when he goes on visits.
He got the offer yesterday after Peeler saw him work out last week. He likes that Cal runs a spread offense, like Mission Viejo, and he wants to be ready so the transition to a college offense is easy. He also like running down deep balls, in that it's satisfying to make those kinds of catches.
The only thing I'd hold against this kid is that he's a Patriots fan, but that's nit-picking. His film is below, and the stats he put up as a high school sophomore are very impressive.
