Sonny Dykes confirmed he has left the program.
No idea whether it was football related, academics or life in general. I can almost guarantee it had nothing to do with his not playing defense as he requested to be a RB and is all of 5'9" tall.
Watched him this Spring and really liked his physicality and pass catching ability at RB. Not super shifty or fast. This Fall he took a step back. Assumed it was the challenge almost all true frosh have as their bodies break down under work load and accumulated minor injuries. Was clear he was not going to crack top four at RB and next year would likely go into the year as 4th string plus Derrick Clark.
