I'm still a little on the fence on Dykes honestly, more off than on, but upset Stanfurd and beat a very beatable ASU team and I'm pretty smitten with an 8-4 season and a signature win against the Furd. Split the pair and 7-5 is more what I expected and I'm pretty unimpressed by the lack of a signature win and uncertain about whether one will ever come (was guessing Cal went 7-5 this year but with one upset win of a Utah/UCLA/USC/Stanford, but also crapped the bed in another game), lose both and I could see him going to Houston well before any conversation about him being let go starts (which it wouldn't because, Cal). Should be a very interesting finish to the year that shapes where Cal football goes over the next few years.
Either way, though, that video gave me all the feels and shows the kind of player buy-in you've got to think Dykes has always wanted, which was kind of cool to see for fans, but also recruits.
