I snuck in a quick chat with Burbank DE Deonte Johnson today, in between him getting more scholarship offers (the 4-star added Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee so far today). Highlights:
- He really enjoyed his first trip to Cal. Biggest highlight was the recovery room in the football facility. Acupuncture!
- He's really staying laid back and just enjoying recruiting right now. No plans for a decision any time soon. Don't blame him.
- Cal likes him as an impact passrusher that can stand up or put his hand on the ground. Just like everyone else!
- His offseason focus is getting bigger/faster/stronger. He's 6'5/240 right now.
- Wants to win a league and section championship this season.
- The biggest thing he wants in his future school is a family feel within the program and in the locker room. A brotherhood where he can have fun and win games.
