Interesting about the calls for D coaches heads. Sonny just finished his 3rd regular season and DC Art Kaufman and at least DL coach Tate only their second at Cal. The entire team except maybe WR's had ZERO depth Sonny's first year. The days of completely dominant defenses are possibly gone given today's high-powered offenses.

Yards allowed/game: 529.6 to 511.8 to 455.3
Sacks per season: 18 to 16 to 27
Ints per season: 5 to 12 to 14
Fumble recoveries per season: 8 to 5 to 10
Depth is building which will give Kaufman more options in his packages.
The team is heading in the right direction. The higher academic requirements are a real impediment to competing against 9 or 10 of the conferences teams but it is happening.
