Cal scores a major victory beating out BYU for three-star offensive tackle Esaiah Wong from Kailua, Hawaii. The 6-foot-5 prospect built up quite an offer list and had family connections to the Bruins, but it was the Cougars that had been making a strong push. Famika Anae has done a heck of a job here and now has five commitments in his first cycle with the Bears.
Cal is now up to 17 commitments in the class and is the 18th-rated group in the Rivals team recruiting rankings.
