On a day when SDSU, ASU and Texas are all crushed, Cal's defense rises to the occasion and wins. Made more surprising by the Bears missing Allensworth, Rambo, Bequette and Z. Johnson.

Strange game to be live at as it was very hard to follow the end of the game. Why was the flag picked up on the block in the back on Walker? And why did they then penalize (without a flag or an announcement) Cal 15 yards after the flag on Walker was picked up?

Then, Dykes decision not to call timeouts when Utah had 1st and goal inside the 10 seemed insane. To roll the dice on his defense boggles the mind.

James Looney needs to be the Pac 12 Defensive Player of the week - 8 tackles and tons of big time plays that don't make the stat sheet all before he stuffs the RB to win the game. Kid is really, really good.

Thought Webb ran hot and cold. He throws the go patterns as well as anyone. He hates the middle of the field and the underneath stuff. In the 2nd quarter, he was channeling Zach Maynard with his lack of pocket presence and inabiliy to step up into the pocket.

Saffle's bizarre taunting penalty that almost cost us the game? The holding on Hudson? It looked like we still weren't ready to win a game like this.

Fantastic finish and outcome. We need to get healthy and if we do, perhaps we can win a few more games. Oregon and USC look beatable, shoot so does Stanford. And I think our offense can give UW fits. D Rob and C Hansen are going to be tough to slow down.
