Swanigan would have been a pleasant surprise, but Ivan Rabb is still the key to this class. If we land him, it shows we can keep local talent home, helps future recruiting, and lands us a top 10 player for our squad next year. He is the real key, and if somebody had said a year ago we would be in his final 2 (and likely leading) going into this weekend we would have been stoked. Losing Swanigan hurts, particularly after he seemed to be headed our way, but losing Rabb would be catastrophic for the program, at least in the short term.
And if we land Rabb, land Frayer (already committed) and keep after top players we will be a tournament team and a relevant basketball program again.
Don't freak out over "losing" Swanigan, a guy we probably never actually had. Rabb is still the key here.
