Just heard on radio driving around in Bay Area...
Cal's women's field hockey team doesn't have a place to practice and is contemplating suing the university in a Title 9 case to force it to build a practice field. Apparently, the team was told it would have a practice field ready for the first day of Spring drills today, only to find the proposed location hadn't been touched.
So instead of practicing in Berkeley, the team is being bussed to STANFORD to practice three times a week. Unreal.
I'm no fan of women's sports, but this is the kind of crap that demonstrates how incompetent the Cal athletic department continues to be.
