Cal is headed towards the final day of spring practice as the Bears host their showcase event on Saturday inside Cal Memorial Stadium. Day 14 featured a number of big plays, particularly on offense, but it was the defense that has been the focus this week with the staff changes announced Thursday by head coach Justin Wilcox.
Outside linebackers coach Vic So'oto and defensive backs coach Terrence Brown went into Friday's practice as the new co-defensive coordinators for the team. There is still some mystery about who will call plays once the season arrives, but both coaches gave their thoughts on what it means to have an expanded role plus move up as coaches under Wilcox.
