As you know, big, big recruiting weekend across the country, with a couple of A-list transfers checking out Cal. As promised, here is the what we've compiled:

Texas A&M defensive end transfer Tunmise Adeleye

The former five-star defensive end is down to a final four of Cal, Miami, Michigan State and USC. He visited Michigan State last weekend and Miami the middle of this week before heading to Cal. Right now, he does not have a USC visit planned. Getting him to Berkeley is absolutely huge -- now they have to close.

He only appeared in three games this season, recording 3 QB hurries and 6 tackles.

Oregon running back transfer Byron Cardwell

The former four-star running back from San Diego, Cardwell was an immediate hit as a freshman at Oregon in 2021, rushing for 417 yards (6.8 YPC) and 3 TDs while working behind Travis Dye. When Dye and CJ Verdell left the program last offseason, it figured the path was clear for Cardwell to be the featured back in 2022, but along with a new coaching staff came the emergence of transfer additions Bucky Irving and Noah Whittington. Cardwell was passed over and also injured most of the season. (Oregon doesn't clarify injury situations so it was hard to know what was going on throughout the fall with Cardwell.) He took an official visit to UCLA last weekend and has since retweeted a Dante Moore-UCLA tweet. It would seem the Bears have some work to do here -- the Bruins have a lot of sell him with Zach Charbonnet's incredible production now moving on to the NFL -- but he's taking the Cal trip for a reason, so the chance is there.

Louisiana Monroe QB transfer Chandler Rogers

The redshirt sophomore (two years of eligibility left) passed for 2,403 yards, 15 touchdowns and 7 interceptions and rushed for 353 yards and 5 touchdowns this season for ULM. His best game came against South Alabama, when he completed 20 of 27 passes for 371 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT. Since entering the portal, he's received offers from Cal, Liberty, Arkansas State and Jacksonville State.

East LA College OT Max Iheanachor

He's focused on four schools -- Kansas (which he visited last weekend), BYU (where he visited earlier this week) Cal and Arizona State (which he also plans to visit). He's expected to announce a decision on Dec. 21.

Matt and I will work to track down reaction at the conclusion of these visits from each guy.
