Sept 5 is coming up fast. I'm glad we have Grambling State first, to help sort out some kinks.
Here is my list of top-of-mind things I would like for our team to get sorted out before we take the field on Sept 5, but probably more importantly for SDSU and Texas. Not sure what kind of visibility we'll have into practice over the next two weeks (given Fall Camp is over) and during the regular season, but I'm most curious about:

Not sure what kind of visibility we'll have into practice over the next two weeks (given Fall Camp is over) and during the regular season, but I'm most curious about:
- OL, especially LT and RT. Clearly a concern, given all the recent commentary/speculation about Cochran, Moore and Farley. Need to keep Goff healthy...can this OL provide strong pass pro? Also, would be good to know who are our top ~8 or so linemen. Will this OL be better than last year???
- Safety. Will McClure be ready on time? We now have depth (with JuCo transfers and freshmen), but not experience. Experience at safety may be key. Hope Drew is the real deal too and can stay healthy. Not sure what we've got in Piatt, but hope he is back soon
- Pass rush. Do we have the right talent to get a decent pass rush. Or have some recent Fall Camp gains been more illusory (e.g. Kragen beating Moore, is just because Moore is not playing well?)
- Kicking. Things seem to be trending well, but not sure how set we are. Sounds like Beito and Anderson are competing. Leininger and Adolphus too
- CB's. White and Allensworth sound much improved
- LB's. We've got good depth
- DL. Jalil and Looney sound great. Starting DL seems clear, but will we be productive on the edges
- QB. Chase seems a solid #2, but MUST keep Goff healthy
- RB. Lasco and Watson seem like a great 1-2 punch, plus some good depth (although less proven)
- WR. Maybe the best receiving corp in the nation
- Other special teams. Looking forward to Davis doing returns for us. Plus may see some athletic freshmen play for us here (and in other positions)
