For everyone who doesn't like scrolling through our signing day central, here's a quick recap of what you missed:
- 3-star OL Semisi committed to Cal, LDS Mission is still up in the air (Dykes inflection made it sound like he doesn't think he'll take it), means Cal picks up the top two players in Hawaii with Kanawai Noa committing as well. Pipeline!!!! Will be brought in as a guard, athletic enough to be a tackle according to Sonny.
- 3-star DB Keith Washington flipped to Michigan, sight unseen. There's some back story here, not much of which we can share, but let's just say there was some academic stuff going on.
- 4-star Rivals250 ATH Jaylinn Hawkins committed to Cal. Boom goes the dynamite. Huge get, second highest rated guy in the class, will be brought in as an athlete and they'll figure out where to put him when he gets here, could honestly see either side.
- Every commit sent in a signed Letter of Intent, including Antoine Albert and Dykles said he doesn't expect any of them to disappear from this class like a couple did last year due to academics.
- Tyler Horton, Nathan Meadors, Quenton Meeks all committed elsewhere, Horton wasn't a take anymore after they got Hawkins, Meadors and Meeks we told you were going to UCLA and Stanford for the past few weeks and sure enough they did.
- SJ3 signed with UCLA, Buchanan with Florida.
- Cal's class should finish at No. 29 (a Top...-30 class is coming!), and will likely end up the 6th best in the Pac-12 unless something crazy happens with UW. Five 4-stars is the most in the Dykes era.
- We confirmed Damariay Drew is on campus but has not rejoined the team, but expect him to in the summer or fall. Dykes said he's not on campus and can't talk about him. We'll let you sift through that.
- I ate two chicken apple sausages from Top Dog during Dykes' press conference. They were delicious.
