you sucked balls coaching and left a shit roster, but you did some real solids for Cal:
- Getting Rabb and Brown and Lee proved that elite talent can and will come to Cal. The next time Cal has a coach that can't get talent, don't make excuses for him, replace him.
- Showed the powers that be that Cal has a fan base that will show up and be loud in numbers (2015-16 season) if you just give us something to be excited about (recruiting brown and rabb).
- Reinforced that there's some things Cal needs to do to step up and hopefully there's energy now to make it happen (ie practice facility).
I'm sure I'm forgetting a few others, but most importantly:
- Kept the MO of being a 3 years and jump chump. When the going gets tough, Guonzo gets going, specifically after 3 years. Quitting, doing so very early, and preventing Cal from being her worst own enemy of giving a retarded contract that eventually would have been bought out is soooooo friggin awesome.
Thank you Martin for giving Cal an opportunity to hire a coach that can actually win something and not making it financially burdensome to do so.
