Kid is PUMPED about his commitment. I'll have the full story up by tomorrow, but here's some juiciness in the meantime:
Cal has been his dream school. Visited in 8th grade when his older brother (who plays OL at San Diego State) visited for a junior day and has loved Cal since. He says it's perfect for him, and that goes for everything from the location, the high academic standards, the facilities and even the coaching style. There's nothing he doesn't like. He sounds like he means it, which is good since there will likely be a lot more offers headed his way.
Really liked Coach Jones and how he runs film, drills, and practices. Said it was obvious that even though Jones is new to Cal, he has the respect of his OL. And yes, Peeler did a great job over the last few weeks developing a relationship with him.
He's already recruiting two guys hard: his DB teammate Chacho Ulloa and Campo OL Sterling Strother.
