Just had a long chat with the Campolindo OT. The guy is taking a very methodical approach to his recruitment. After narrowing things to ten schools, he intends to visit each of them over the next 4 months before making a decision prior to the start of his senior season. He's a very intelligent kid, and while I wouldn't bet against Stanford (if an offer came, which I doubt it will) or Cal, I wouldn't be shocked to see him pick an Ivy League school either.
He's playing his cards very close to the vest, and while he may have a favorite in mind he's acting like he's wide open.
Cal likes him at right tackle, but Brandon Jones thinks Strother is smart and athletic enough to ultimately play any of the 5 spots on the line potentially. He spoke highly of Jones, Dykes, and of course his area recruiter...Jacob Peeler.
Story coming tomorrow.
