I just need to vent on this, and I know the response will be that it's all about TV money now. Agreed, but it still pisses me off that we had to have... 1. Two back to back years of home games on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. 2. This year's game was at 7 PM. 3. Our final game is not the Big Game.
If we have a third year of a home game on Saturday regardless of the time, I'm going to really lose it. Hello! No students are on campus that weekend. The only way to fill the stadium is to have either a Big Game or a high profile opponent ala ND. Cal loses big time gate revenue by having the game on Saturday. And then to have it at 7? Saturday afternoon would have been a great time with bright sunshine etc. Geez. And why oh why can't the Big Game take up its traditional position as the last game of the year? Oh, I know. Money. But it doesn't make me feel any better about it.
