Wow, there are some really bad teams in this conference. Some stink on one side of the ball and are good on the other. Some are mediocre on both sides. But you've got to be really good on both sides to be a contender. At least there isn't some huge disparity between the North and South. Washington at Utah might be a Championship game preview

* Playoff contender

The Good
1. Washington* - Looking scary, but haven't played nobody good to date and Utah first real test
2. Utah* - Holy hell, 52 on UCLA? If this team can score, they will win the South, maybe conference
3. WSU - Coogs are legit good, and though not as tested as Colorado, I still think they are better
4. USC - The QB change did wonders and got Helton off the hot seat
5. Colorado - Solid on both sides, but not quite as good as the others
The Bad
6. Cal - Yes, if you look at the records, and who has beaten who, how can you argue?
7. Stanford - Yes, if you look at the records and who has beaten who, how can you argue?
8. UCLA - When you see this team play, it's hard to believe they are 3-5
The Ugly
9. ASU - After a promising start, falling apart
10. OSU - Well coached but lack talent and experience
11. Arizona - Might be the worst, but...
12. Oregon - Doing less with more than Arizona
