Seriously. I guess the good news is every game has a great uncertainty of outcome, which research says drives interest in sports competitions...

One thing I can safely say is that there are more Pac-12 teams with good defenses now than I can ever remember.

1. Oregon
Sure, the Ducks beat the two teams that beat UW, but they are seriously underperforming their talent, IMO. If Stanford had played a healthy Davis Mills against them, they very well lose that game. On top of that, watching Auburn look inept at loss in Florida is not helping the fowl's cause.

Now seriously, who do you put #2? You can't put UW. OK, maybe Utah who beat BYU, but lost to USC, who lost to BYU who lost to UW who beat USC? What? I don't frigging know, but some order has to be created.

2. Utah
I'll go with the best coach, defense, and play making QB and give them a mulligan for losing at USC in a game they gave away. Road games can be tough as we all know.

3. ASU
This feels wrong, but how can UW be ranked this high, with losses to Cal and Stanford teams that had to duck tape and twine together offensive lines? ASU has a great D, very good RB, play making QB, and a physical mismatch at WR.

4. Washington
Never imagined a Chris Peterson-coached team playing so poorly than on the Farm last night. Stanford was down to playing 3 True Frosh OL and they couldn't stop the run. Red Zone O horrible, and Eason looked like trash in that game.

5. USC
I know USC is likely gonna beat ASU, but how can they be any higher? I was gonna put them #2, but ASU has a better resume, and UW just beat them head-to head. Still, I'm gonna guess USC wins the South. I don't see the Oregon team I have seen play its last two games beating these condoms.

6. Arizona
Quietly, Arizona is now 4-1. NOBODY has talked about them as a threat to win the Pac-12 South, but they are in first place there now. They get an angry UW and at USC the next two weeks, so we'll see.

7. Cal
This is probably too generous, but Cal has been within a TD in the 4th quarter of each of its losses. The ASU loss is really going to be costly when looking at the final standings in 2019.

8. Stanford
Appear better with their True Frosh OL and backup QB than with the expected starters. Defense looked like a sieve for two consecutive weeks and all of a sudden is stout, minus one quarter in Corvallis.

9. Colorado
If only this team had a defense. It's quite clear the Buffs can't stop anybody. Have given up 30+ in every game they have played.

10. Washington State
Firing your DC after 5 games is never a good look, especially the same week the coach calls out his players for being dumb, fat, and lazy.

11. Oregon State
Congratulations to the Beavs! FINALLY out of the cellar! I'm pretty sure they have held down #12 in these rankings for as long as I have done them.

12. UCLA
Let me be the first to remind you that when Chip Kelly was hired in Westwood, when all y'all were peeing yourselves in fear, I stated that I didn't think he was going to have good results. Now, everyone can agree, he has taken them to the bottom of the Pac-12.
