The Bears have announced their new defensive staff changes ahead of Saturday's spring showcase. Terrence Brown and Vic So'oto have been promoted to co-defensive coordinators while Keith Heyward and Bob Gregory have officially been announced as new additions to the staff as defensive backs coach and senior defensive assistant, respectively.
Defensive line coach Andrew Browning will add the run game coordinator to his title as well.
Heyward recently arrived in Berkeley to begin working with the team while Gregory has been around for a couple weeks. Now that is announced they can begin their full duties. I'd expect Gregory to spend most of his time with the linebacker unit helping out first-year inside linebacker coach Mike Bruno.
The Bears will effectively have three defensive backs coaches as Brown is expected to continue working with the secondary group despite his additional role as co-defensive coordinator.

Keith Heyward and Bob Gregory are also being added to the Bears' expanded defensive staff.
