High three-star defensive back Rodrick Pleasant included Cal on his list of top 13 schools back in February. The Bears worked to get him on campus for the team's junior day over the weekend, but he wasn't able to make it out for the trip. Still, Cal is one team he continues to speak with and he has built a strong connection with Tre Watson and Terrence Brown. He enjoyed his visit with the Bears during the season and hoping he can get back out on campus at some point. He will visit Georgia this weekend and Texas later in the month after visiting Oregon and USC in January. Track season is starting up, so he will have a bit more of a hectic schedule in the spring, but he is pushing forward with the recruiting process as he sorts through his options.
He had two bad ankles during the football season that impacted his play on the field he says, but he is healthy now and looked the part of a top prospect over the weekend at the Under Armour NEXT camp in Southern California.
“Their pitch has been they want me to come play right now. Come play at a high level and impact the game as a true freshman.”
