Now that the season is drawing near, I went back and watched the Purdue vs ND game on youtube. It can be found here for those interested.

Plummer gets pulled with about 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. There were a few things I learned from watching the replay. Plummer has been starting games at Purdue in every season since 2019. He brings a pretty good amount of experience. He isn't a great runner or a threat on a read option but he did scramble for at least one first down in the game. The Purdue oline in that game was dominated. They struggled to protect in pass pro and weren't good in short yardage either. That created problems for Plummer in trying to do anything but complete quick outs, stops, and screens. Milton Wright at receiver had a pretty ugly game, too. Kyle Hamilton was all over the field for ND. No wonder he was an early draft pick.

I'd be curious what @RugBear thinks about the Purdue oline play, and how that translates to our oline (other than specifically not getting man-handled)? Also would be curious to hear what @jessestewart thinks from a play calling perspective of how Brohm game-planned and what Cal would do. Perhaps a mailbag item for ND week?
