I'd like to introduce everyone to Ben Parker. Ben will be taking over as our main Basketball Writer.
Ben comes to Golden Bear Report after having spent the last several years covering the NBA for Sports-Kings.com and the Memphis Grizzlies for BealeStreetBears.com. While he is a big NBA fan, he is also a passionate Cal sports fan, graduating from Cal with a degree in philosophy in the fall of 2014. During his time at Cal, he helped revamp the student section known as “The Bench” by joining a group of students known as “The Bench Committee.” This committee is dedicated to improving student participation at all Cal athletic events.
In regards to Cal Basketball, Ben spent the last season blogging and writing about the team on his own personal blog, sharing his insight into the team with fans. Ben is very excited about the future of Cal Basketball and looks forward to doing whatever he can to bring Cal fans the coverage and insight that they deserve.
And that coverage will start...TODAY. Ben will be attending the portion of Cal's practice open to media this afternoon/evening and will be there for the post-practice presser as well as the team gears up for the Australia tour next week.
