With Yann Hufnagel getting canned and Cuonzo Martin being investigated, the recruiting situation for Cal right now is incredibly fluid. The future of Jemarl Baker, Alec Hickman, Don Coleman, and even Tyson Jolly is uncertain. Jolly signing his NLI makes it trickier for him to move, but not impossible. In addition, a lot of the recruits I've interviewed over the past few months can't be looking at Cal as favorably as they did before all this drama went down.
So, what I'm telling you is that with the future of Cuonzo Martin and thus his staff uncertain, recruiting by default is uncertain. I know that this may seem obvious to some of you, but nonetheless, I want to make it explicitly clear that it is going to be tricky to navigate the recruiting scene so long as it is unclear who will be coaching Cal come November.
