Cal has been outscored by 30 pts in the 1st half of the 5 Pac 12 road games, but has broke even (0 pt differential) in the 2nd half of the conference road games. Cal has trailed all of those games at halftime except for being tied at halftime with oregon. Yet Cal has only been outscored in the 2nd half in the oregon and utah games.
This may be purely coincidence, but I do wonder if there's something more under-lying. If there is, one possible reason is that Rabb and/or Brown have gotten in foul trouble in those games, and as soon as they pick up their 2nd, cuonzo sits them the entire first half. Because they are so critical to the offense, the team struggles. When martin plays them through their foul issues in the 2nd half, the team comes to life. Or more specifically, Brown/Rabb come alive.
For the 4 home games, Cal's +/- is +23 1st half, +10 2nd half.
Who knows, maybe this is typical for road teams, and they need an entire half to figure out how to play on a new court. Whatever the reason, if Cal can accelerate how they play in the 2nd half of road games to the 1st half, maybe we'll finally win a roadie.
