Cal head coach Justin Wilcox said throughout the season that he would eventually allow reporters to ask him questions about conference realignment and the Bears eventual move to the ACC once the team was wrapped up with its 2023 schedule. Tuesday, he spent close to an hour speaking with reporters about a variety of topics revolving around the biggest news of the summer to provide his thoughts on how it happened, how it could have been avoided and ultimately how the future looks for his team and the program.
