Who are they set to lose
QB: (Depending on who wins the starting job, I expect someone to transfer)
RB: Enwere and Watson
WR: Hansen, Hudson, Veasy, Austin
FB: Hinnant
OL: Cochran, V. Johnson, Wallace
DL: Looney, Mekari, Becker, Westerfield
LB: Davison, Downs, Anoa’i (Brown)
DB: Allensworth, Franklin, Rubenzer
K: Anderson
Who do they go after:
QB: Martinez (He’s about as set in stone as you’re going to get for this far in the future)
RB: (McCrary, Clark, and Ali-Walsh will be the ones remaining, Echols could move back). The only RBs they have offered at the moment are TJ Pledger and Nolan Edmonds, who haven’t shown interest since their offer. Omari Harris is listed as an RB by Rivals, but he’ll play OLB at Cal
WR: Peeler has been working on these guys for a while, Austin Osborne is the most likely to commit soon, Cal got on him early, really likes the school, almost committed earlier, has visited multiple times
Other guys at the spot:
Amon Ra St. Brown (all-name team, would be a coup to get, brothers are at Stanford and ND)
Chase Williams (likes UW and Cal at this point)
Manuel Allen (Peeler went down to see him during the bye week, with Tre Watson in tow)
Kyle Phillips
Braden Lenzy (family is friendly with Cuonzo Martin)
OL: Blake McDonald and Max Barth are two local guys (Northern CA local, from Danville and Lodi respectively, that they’ve offered early and should be considered the early favorites)
Tommy Brown, 4 star from Mater Dei, visited during the Texas game
Dawson Jamarillo: Came down for the OL-DL camp over the summer. Looked a bit small for the position at 6’5” 250, but has the frame to excel
DL: Only three offers out so far at the spot, they want them all, there needs to be more
Tuli Letuligasenoa - DT from De La Salle - Visited for Utah and UCLA, should be focusing on him as top defensive target, size-wise, location-wise, talent-wsie
Brennan Jackson - Recent offer, on the small side
Taylor Upshaw - son of Regan Upshaw
(Dark Horse: Ville Vilaste from DVC, no offer for him yet though)
LB: Only four offers, bound to be more closer to their Junior Day, Harris already committed at the spot
Merlin Robertson
Solomon Tuliaupupu (Everyone has offered him, Peeler is his recruiter though)
Jack Lamb (Recently offered, under the radar, other offers are Cal Poly and Montana State)
DB:
Trent Gordon (offered earlier this week)
Isaiah Humphries (Just made his top 8)
Jhevon Hill (Another early offer, Utah and Wazzu have offered him as well, solid athlete)
Steve Stephens (Visited Cal during the UW game, in the top 5 for him when last checked, liked the positivity of the players)
ATH:
Eric Fuller (one of the Hawkins guys, WR most likely, another Peeler recruit)
Holes in recruiting in 2018: RB, LB, DL
More offers will roll in with Junior Day rapidly approaching
