I am looking forward eagerly to Thursday night's NFL Draft, and Goff going No. 1. (At this point it would be a HUGE surprise if the Rams took Wentz instead.)
I think it is great that Dykes is accompanying Goff to the Draft, and hopefully garnering some good PR for Cal and Cal football. As far as I know, Goff and Dykes have always gotten along really well, and this would appear to be further evidence of that. I wonder if Dykes will be permitted to sit at the table where Dykes and his folks sit while waiting for the selections to start.
This is Goff's moment, not Sonny's or Cal's, but I trust that Sonny has the good sense to stay in background and capitalize on the reflected glory. How do you see that playing out? Hopefully some gracious words from Goff about how Sonny helped him develop his game?
