This is one fascinating recruitment to watch. Judging by the fact he's taking four AP classes his Senior year, not being an early entry, planning on visiting Stanford after his Senior season is over, and says Stanford leads even after his visit to South Bend, and has Stanford, Notre Dame, Cal, and Georgia Tech in his top list along with Alabama and Georgia, and he was once an Alabama commit...
He obviously wants to go to Stanford. But will a bad Stanford season and calls for Shaw's head turn him off the Farm? Notre Dame would seem to be his second choice, but why is Robertson still listing Cal in his top schools? I mean it's obvious he could go to Alabama or Georgia. Is Cal offering him the chance to play both ways (more plays means he could get some reps at WR and CB) while convincing him Berkeley is the most rigorous academic challenge he can have? And if he wants to stay home, GT sure seems like a great option given he is an academic-oriented guy. All this said, Stanford people have questioned Robertson's ability to get past admissions. But hard to imagine a kid taking 4 AP classes wouldn't get admitted.
At this point it seems Alabama and Georgia are going to be out. If he is admitted, he probably goes to Stanford. Can Cal beat out Notre Dame and Georgia Tech if not? I'd say probably, with an 8+ win season.
