Does anyone know if there is any connection between Brown and 2016 top PG recruit Kobi Simmons? Both from GA, Simmons is from the Atlanta area (Alpharetta), and I don't know where Marietta is in relationship to Atlanta, I thought Marietta was a suburb around the ATL. So perhaps Brown can help smooth the path for Simmons to come to Cal?!?! Probably wishfull thinking on my part...but you never know.
I love the fact that Coach Martin is going after national elite recruits. With Brown being a trendsetter...Coach Martin has a chance to build on that to convince other non-Californian elite recruits to come to Berkeley. There is a chance that Cal can replace UCLA as the most sought after offer from a California university.
We certainly need an elite PG next year. Unless we can flip Lonzo Ball, Simmons might be a possibility. Of course Devearl Ramsey is a good option as well.
