Just spent 15 minutes pulling teeth talking with Cam Goode. He doesn't say much. But here's the gist.
Wish me luck as I try to write a story out of this.
- He'll announce his final decision tomorrow on twitter.
- Vandy, Cal and Nebraska
- Trey Turner hosted him and was great. Answered all Cam's questions and had a valuable perspective as a fellow out of state guy.
- Cam's first trip to the Bay Area. It exceeded his expectations.
- The trip was nice. He like the campus, location, eveything.
- He spent a lot of time with Chachere, Tommerdahl and Kaufman. Cal wants him at Will, plans to blitz him a lot (I approve).
- He said this trip "probably made his decision easier". I think that's good?
- on why he likes each of his finalists (these are real answers):
- Nebraska: the fans and all that. it's a college town.
- Vandy: I like the defense they run, and its in the SEC
- Cal: the scenery, the coaches and the academics
- the other commits didn't put a ton of pressure on him, but they let him know they want him there.
- he's ready to be done with recruiting
- as a player, he has a lot of range. he can play sideline to sideline and is a strong blitzer but can also drop back and play in space (this was a good answer)
