The news dropped today officially that the Cal rugby program is the third fully endowed sport at the school joining men's and women's golf. Chancellor Rich Lyons previously said that there would be four more (three now) fully endowed sports coming soon when speaking with the media when Ron Rivera was hired as the football GM. Rugby has had plenty of success over the years in Berkeley and has raised over $40 million in time to become fully endowed. This is an important step for programs across the campus as the revenue sharing era comes into place.
