Arizona is on some kind of roll right now with talent among the high school ranks, and one of the top underclassmen in the state is 2024 edge rusher Elijah Rushing from Salpointe HS in Tucson. Rushing is already a member of the Rivals100 in his class and has over a dozen offers on the table. He is going to end up as one of the highly-targeted recruits in the state when all is said and done. Today, Cal decided to become the latest school to enter the mix with an offer after Vic So'oto and Marshall Cherrington made the move. Rushing is someone I've watched since emerging on the scene in Tucson, and his production is getting closer to matching his potential now. He is starting to settle in as one of the top pass rushers in the class, and there is still plenty of room for development. Oregon has emerged as the early favorite and recently made the move to offer his older brother a walk-on spot with the program, which he accepted.

Arizona is also just a couple miles from his school and the Wildcats are making him a big priority as well. Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Utah and Washington are a few of his other notable offers.

There will definitely be some work to do for the Bears, but he is still early in the process.

He had 75 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks as a sophomore in 2021.
